Yet another girl jumps into Jhelum, rescue operation on in Baramulla

Baramulla: A girl on Saturday jumped into the river Jhelum in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district even as search and rescue operation has been launched.

An official said that following the incident, a rescue team including police immediately rushed to the spot and launched searches.

The official told news agency KNO that search operation to trace the girl was going on.

Meanwhile, on December 12, 2022, a 17-year-old girl jumped in the river Jhelum in Sopore area of Baramulla district. The teenager girl was a class 9 student, and had jumped in the river near Jamia Bridge.

However, all efforts to fish out the body of minor girl have failed so far, since her body was not yet found.
