JAMMU: In a tragic accident, a woman was killed after she fell off a train in Vijaypur of Samba district, police informed on Monday.

The identity of the woman, aged around 35 years, is yet to be ascertained, it said.

“A woman fell down from Jammu Mail Express on the railway track near Vijaypur tehsil of Samba district on Sunday evening. She died on the spot,” said a Government Railway Police (GRP) official.

The body of the woman has been shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu for post-mortem, while efforts are on to ascertain her identification, he added.
