60 grams of contraband Heroin like substance, 50k cash recovered
Baramulla: Baramulla Police today said that it has arrested four drug peddlers including a woman along with 60 grams of contraband heroin-like substance and 50,000 cash.
Baramulla Police in a statement said, Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob Kubra Nazir-JKPS, SHO PS Boniyar arrested 4 Drug Peddlers namely Ikhlaq Mir S/O Ahmad Mir, Kabir Ahmad Awan S/O Muzaffar Ahmad both residents of Daragutliyan, Abdul Qayoom Khan S/O Sarfaraz Ahmad R/O Bela Salamabad & Muneeba Younis D/O Mohammad Younis Sudan R/O Uranbowa who were coming in a vehicle bearing registration number JK05L-3829 from Chandanwari towards Boniyar and we’re intercepted during naka checking at Boniyar on seeing naka party they tried to flee from the spot but were apprehend tactfully by the alert naka party.
During their personal search 60 grams of contraband Heroin like substance cash 50000/- was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately and the vehicle was also seized. Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion, police said.
