Jammu: Apprehending a third wave hit, Principal and Dean Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma on Saturday visited the Maternal Child Health Hospital (MCH), Gandhi Nagar to review the ongoing works.
As per official communiqué, Dr Sharma, visited MCH, to review the ongoing works in the hospital and directed electrical engineers for completion of the Air Condition plant before July 31 as ‘Third Wave’ may hit anytime as speculated.
It was apprised to the Principal that the Operation Theatre and labour room complex wall tilling is under progress while the floor tilling in NICU and PICU is already approved in languishing projects.
She directed engineers to make Detailed Project Report for Granite flooring and complete all pending works at the earliest.
She asked the Medical Superintendent to write to the XEN mechanical cooling division for taking papers of plant AMC/CMC and ensuring the smooth functioning of AC plant 24X7.
Dr Sudhan asked the Medical Superintendent Dr Arun Sharma to make maternity hospital Gandhi Nagar GMC Jammu a centre of excellence.
She also visited the control room established in the hospital and asked to install an audio visual system and facility for virtual rounds in the COVID Hospital.
The Dean appreciated Hospital administration for the installation of Citizen Charter and National Flag at the entry of the hospital besides complaints and suggestions boxes in the premises.
