Govt announces winter vacations for all Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: In view of the cold wave, the School Education Department Wednesday extended winter vacation for schools in summer zones of Jammu division from till January 7.

According to an order issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSE-J), winter vacation of all government and private schools has been extended till January 7, 2023.

“In view of prevailing inclement weather conditions in Jammu division, the winter vacation of all government and recognized private schools functioning in the region shall observe it upto January 07,” it read. 


Earlier, the department had stated that the schools in Jammu division  shall observe 10 days of winter vacation from December 26 to January 04.

The Directorate had further ordered that all teachers shall remain available on demand for any online guidance of students during vacation period.
