Congress President Rahul Gandhi has said that his party will implement the minimum income guarantee scheme if voted to power in Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to reporters in Chennai on Wednesday, he said, the present form of GST would be simplified if Congress comes back to power. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bypassed the due process of negotiations by running parallel talks in Rafale deal.
On the other hand, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Arun Jaitley attacked Congress over the issue of corruption, saying if a forensic audit of Congress first family’s capital creation is conducted, the facts will speak for themselves.
He alleged that prior to May 2014, corridors of North Block and Udyog Bhawan used to be flooded with businessman and industrialists. He said, today these corridors are vacant because in Modi government files are not pushed but decided on merit and in the national interest.
Endorsing Jaitley’s blog, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet said, in new India, there is no place for middlemen, no tolerance for corruption and no fake beneficiaries swindling away recourses.
