Since the time Nitish Kumar left sides with BJP and went ahead to join hands with Rashtra Janta Dal, Bihar, day by day is becoming intolerant towards Hindus. While RJD’s main voter base consists of Muslims and Yadav community. The situation for Hindu other than the Yadav community is becoming increasingly unsafe. They are the prime hate targets. Is it due to the Muslim appeasement policy of RJD that Hindus are being dominated and the growing aggressiveness of the Muslim community in the state? One senior leader of Janta Dal United recently said Indian cities will turn into Karbala if Hindus will disrespect Prophet Muhammad. Karbala is a city in Iraq where the prophet’s grandson and half-brother were massacred. Referring to Nupur Sharma’s statement about Prophet Muhammad Gulam Rasool Balyawi, a member of the Bihar legislative assembly said that Muslims will convert India into Karbala. He is also a member of the Rajya Sabha. He also added that Muslims should also get a Muslim safety act similar to the prevention of atrocitiescites act for SC and ST’S. He said it will protect his Muslim brothers from bias. Such a threat has led to the activation of Muslim militancy in many small districts of Bihar. Muslims have become very rigid and attacked Hindus, they know that the mahagathbandan sarkar won’t save Hindus at all. While Bihar education minister and senior RJD leader Chandra Shekhar were found saying that Hindu religious texts and RSS ideologies spread hatred which divides the society. He made the given statement at a college fest “A nation becomes great with love and affection. Books like Ramcharitmanas, Manusmriti, and Bunch of Thoughts sowed the seeds of hatred and social divide. This is the reason why people burnt Manusmriti and took exception to a portion of Ramcharitmanas, which talks against education for Dalits, backward, and women.” Such remarks led to religious furrow and condemnation but RJD stood its ground to gain sympathy votes from Yadav and any Muslim community. Later that day RJD released a frail statement that no one should criticise texts. The B P Mandal College of Engineering which is run by the state of Bihar, at Madepura has banned Saraswati puja on campus. College principal Arvind Kumar told students that nobody would establish a murti of the goddess for worship. He threatened the students with legal action if his orders were violated. He added that one can do so only in the hostel and can only put a photo of the goddess. He added that if we start celebrating festivals then we should celebrate all festivals of all the communities, not just Hindu festivals as it would create a communal atmosphere in the college. While the students were in no mood to settle the matter, they are on protested and also said that they will go on an indefinite fast if the college does not withdraw this notice and that authority must apologize to them f ro hurting their religious sentiments. They also reiterated that Sarasvati puja was done every year and there never has been any issue or chaos around it. The students protest started on the campus on 21 January and local police had to be called to restore peace on the campus. It must be noted that Chandra Shekhar has a fist hold in Madhepura. He is also known for his anti-Hindu anecdotes. A similar incident also came to the fore from Samastipur. Samastipur is another district with a stronghold of JDU –RJD. It is said that district magistrate Yogendra Yadav imposed a ban on playing music at Saraswati puja pandals, He has sent orders to ensure that all the puja pandals get permission from authorities and there should be no posters with the face of the goddess in the vicinity of the event. Those who will violate the same will be charged with a criminal offense. From the above-mentioned cases, it is clear that the JDU-RDA maha– alliance is only aiming for a vote bank. This is nothing but appeasing its voter. This diktat is wcriticizedicised in the political circle. While Sanjay Jaiswal, BJP state president told us that such moves are not random, they are well-orchestrated events only to widen the gap between Hindus and Muslims and move the dice on the base of caste politics. They want to take sides with the Muslims and make Hindus feel scared and unwelcome in their own land. Such restrictions will lead to the denigration of the Hindu community. It is not surprising that since many RJD leaders hate Hinduism and now the same sentiment is flourishing in full glory in Bihar because of the party in power now. Jaiswal also added that it will not be the first or last incident of this sort, we can expect more of such news or even worse in the future. There will be more attacks on the Hindu faith and festivals. The JDU-RJD leaders will never utter a word about any other religion and will not place restrictions on any sort of festivals of other religion, we can anticipate that Bihar if not now then soon enough will turn into an anti-Hindu state and give rise to a much larger trouble for India. Such a Religious divide will soon turn into a forest fire and will catch up in other states as well.—- INAV
