Whom should I trust?

A woman spends the entirety of her life building relationships, getting educated and starting a career for herself, only to see an abrupt end?
Reddy was a doctor. Nirbhaya was an aspiring physiotherapist. They were daughters, sisters, friends.
They were subjected to a painful death, why? Because some man thinks women are lesser and weaker than them? They can exploit us because they’re physically stronger? Because they can’t control their sexual desires, so they have the right to violate us?

A girl hesitantly took your help, and you raped her, killed her and then set her body on fire. How do I believe that not all men are the same? Whom do I trust? How do I differentiate you from them? Nobody has criminal written over their faces.

She wasn’t the first, and knowing she won’t be the last either scares me to my core.
