Urges public to strictly follow all mandated Covid-19 SOPs
BUDGAM, JUNE 10: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today stated that the war against the Covid-19 is not over yet and urged the people of the district to strictly follow all mandated SOPs in letter and spirit to prevent its further spread.
The DDC said this during his weekly press briefing. He said that as of date, the total positive cases stand at 1400. Since the last two days, the number of daily cases has gone down further and is now 4.87 per cent.
Regarding the occurrence of deaths since the last two to three days, the DDC said that the rate of deaths has increased from 0.23 per cent to 0.52 per cent.
The DDC once again appealed to the general public to ensure strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs, guidelines and also undertake vaccination as these are the safe and secure means to protect oneself from getting infected. He added that Vaccination will reduce fatalities.
