Waited nearly 1 year for loans, entrepreneurs come out against JKEDI


Srinagar: Entrepreneurs from different districts today staged a protest in Srinagar against JKEDI for a delay in sanctioning of loans.

Having been assured that loans will be sanctioned in three months, trainees had applied for the loan at JKEDI and completed their formalities.

One of the trainees said that he has invested atleast Rs 6 lakh in his project, the total cost of which can go upto Rs 20 lakh.

The entrepreneurs had completed their training in June-July 2018 and since then, they are waiting for their issue to be resolved. They alleged that JKEDI and Commissioner Secretary are playing blame games.

They urged the State Administration to look into the matter personally and speedily process the cases.
