Vigilance Workshop-cum-awareness programme held in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Anti–Corruption Bureau, in collaboration with District Administration Udhampur organized a workshop cum vigilance awareness programme as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week, here  in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna was the chief guest, while Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Vinod Kumar; SSP ACB, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Mohammad Rashid Bhat; SSP ACB HQ, Kulwant Singh Jasrotia; ADDC, Anu Behl; Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Nawab Din; ADC, Mohammad Syed Khan and officers of other departments besides representatives of Beopar mandal, Prominent citizens and students attended the programme.

At the onset, Dy.SP Zafar Iqbal Nawaz gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on corruption and how it impacts on society. He advised the participants not to be a part of the corrupt system.

Addressing the programme, the chief guest thanked the Anti Corruption Bureau for organizing this impressive awareness programme. She highlighted the role of education in inculcating moral and ethical values of integrity. The DC informed that the Government has taken several initiatives to ensure transparency and accountability in the governing set up. The DC urged all to work with dedication and honesty and highlighted the role of education in inculcating moral, ethical values so that newer generations can imbibe values of integrity. The DC called upon the officers/officials to maintain integrity, transparency, accountability and fairness in every work.

During the workshop, several other speakers also briefed the participants about the objectives of Vigilance Awareness Week. They laid stress on the menace of corruption and the role/responsibility of the government servants in weeding out the corruption from the society. The ACB team also sensitized the participants including government employees about the functioning of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and how to weed out Corruption from the Society.

At the end of the programme, ACR Rafiq Ahmed Jaral presented the vote of thanks.
