The sprawling Badamwari garden in Kashmir Valley has turned a major attraction for everyone, as J&K Bank organised a spring festival ‘Was Gasav’.
The Badamwari garden has almond trees, which are in full bloom for only 15 days a year. The spring festival drew people to witness this beauty!
The festival had food stalls, singing-painting contests, magic shows, displays of Kashmiri Heritage and culture.
Almost 1,000 students from various schools, including Blue Bells, Vishwa Bharti Higher Secondary School, Kashmir Harvard and Mars Public School, all of whom participated in different shows.
The festival was made possible after the garden was taken over by the JK Bank as part of its corporate social responsibility and heritage trust and was formally opened for the public in 2008.
