National Conference (NC) vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti was responsible for National Investigation Agency (NIA) summons to Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
“NIA filed an FIR against Mirwaiz in 2017 when Mehbooba Mufti was the Chief Minister of the state so she (Mehbooba) alone is responsible for the notices NIA is sending to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq,” Omar said on the sidelines of a party rally in Kupwara.
He also reiterated his demand for revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). “AFSPA should be revoked in Jammu and Kashmir the way it was revoked in Arunachal Pradesh,” Omar said.
Saying that article 370 has been worst hit by implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST), Omar dared Mehbooba Mufti to prove that National Conference has even once extended such a law to the state which has damaged Article 370 anytime in any way.
