Army paid a befitting tribute to Late Naik Parvej who made the supreme sacrifice on 28 March 2019 in the line of duty. He was leading an operational team for patrolling along LoC in Northern Kashmir.
Because of a sudden local landslide, Naik Parvej fell into deep nalla flowing along their route. He was evacuated to 92 Base Hospital for medical treatment, but succumbed to the grievous injuried sustained during the fall.
Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks paid homage to the martyr on behalf of a proud nation. In a show of solidarity, representatives from other security agencies also paid their last respects to the martyr.
The martyr, Naik Parvej, was 29 years old and had joined the Army in 2009. He belonged to Village Shekhawas of Bhim Tehsil in Rajasamand District of Rajasthan and is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
The mortal remains of the martyr were flown for last rites to his native place, where he would be laid to rest with full military honours. In this hour of grief, the Army stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and remains committed to their dignity and well being.
