Vastu Tips for Happy and Healthy Life

Happiness is a state of mind. A happy mind leads to a healthy body. But this state of mind gets influenced by many outside factors. One of the most important factors is the Vastu of the house. If the 5 elements are well balanced in our space, it creates a perfect and a positive flow of energy, leading to abundance in all areas of our lives, be it health, wealth, relationship or happiness.

Here are a few easy tips that can help you bring this wonderful energy in your space.

Entrance: Entrance is the first zone which meets the outside energy. It is like the mouth of the house. Whatever we are allowing inside, will determine our health and happiness. The entrance zone should always be well lit. A dark and dingy entrance will never allow good energies to enter the space. The door should be in a good condition. Cracked or chipped wood, handles not working, creaking sound, door getting stuck is all an indication of negative vibrations in our space. Spruce up your main door.

Northeast Zone: Northeast is the zone of the mind. This also represents the Planet Jupiter, the planet of abundance, happiness, wisdom and good health. When Northeast is Vastu compliant, it leads to abundance in all of these areas. Large open spaces in the Northeast work very well. Balcony, Living Room, Puja Room, Meditation Room, TV Room are some wonderful examples of how your Northeast should be. Keep this zone clean and clutter free at all times. Use pastel colours here to further enhance the energies. A statue of Buddha in a meditative pose further enhances the harmony and mental well being for all residents.

Plant Energy: Put a lot of green healthy plants in the East Zone of the house. This zone represents our social networking. The green energy here enhances our relationship with the outside world. Few happy moments spent with friends is always an add on to the happy quotient.

Bedroom Energy: This is the zone where we spend the maximum amount of time, our place of rest and relaxation. Ensure that bedroom does not have dark colours such as reds and blacks. Ensure that the mirror does not reflect the bed as this can cause a lot of restlessness while sleeping and can also be the reason for arguments between couples. Restful sleep is important for good health and happiness. Remove dustbins from the bedroom and keep plants out of the bedroom. For that matter, avoid flowers too in the bedroom. This carries a very active and yang energy and interferes with restful sleep.

Bathroom: Ensure that the toilet lid is always down when not in use and toilet door should always be kept closed, specially when it’s an ensuite bathroom. This will restrict the negative energy of the bathroom to flow out into your bedroom. To further enhance the positive energy of the house, liberally use scented candles, camphor and essential oils. A house that is filled with positive vibration is a house that resonates with good health and happiness.

Remember, the vibration in your house is the psyche of your mind.
