Uttar Pradesh government has doubled House Rent Allowances (HRA) and City Compensatory Allowances (CCA) for state government employees. This and other decisions were taken at a cabinet meeting in Lucknow yesterday, which was Chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Our correspondent reports that around 15 lakh government employees, including teachers will get enhanced package from August.
As per cabinet decision State government employees will get two times more House rent allowance and CIty compensatory allowance in the comparison of the rates fixed in 2008. State Government employees get fixed HRA and CCA. It will be payable from this month.
The cabinet has taken the decision on the recommendations of the GB Patnaik and Brinda Swaroop committees set up by the State Government on the allowances to the state government employees and teachers to implement seventh pay commission reports.
The government has also reclassified of cities for CCA purposes. Firozabad has been included in A category. 15 Lakhs government employees, teachers and non-teaching staff will be benefited and about 2400 crore rupees will be financial burden on Public exchequer in the implementation of the government decisions
