Railways and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal today called on the Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the Bhutanese Prime Minister and Mr Goyal discussed the roadmap to take further the mutual economic and trade relationship between the two countries.
The Bhutanese Prime Minister, who was on a three-day visit to India on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation, has since left for home. Mr Modi and his Bhutanese counterpart held wide-ranging talks covering bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
Mr Tobgay also met President Ram Nath Kovind, when he called on him at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi also met the Bhutanese Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, today. In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said he discussed ways to further strengthen the special bond between India and Bhutan.
