Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the apprehensions over the new farm laws, being spread through misinformation, are baseless. He said, today’s address and interaction of the Prime Minister with the farmers across the country has revealed that the farmers are availing the benefits of the new farm laws.
AIR Correspondent reports, joining the Prime Minister’s address and interaction with farmers through video conference from Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha, the Union Minister said that many farmers are now reaping the benefits of better price realisation of their produce while still availing the benefits of the Minimum Support Price.
He said that the Modi government has been strengthening the hands of the ‘annadatas’ of the country since the last six years. On the occasion, Mr. Pradhan unveiled a statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Behari Vajpayee at Japa in Jagatsinghpur district on his 96th birth anniversary, being celebrated as good governance day. The Minister said that the former Prime Minister laid the foundation of a resurgent and self-reliant India.
