BANDIPORA: Another militant has been killed taking the toll to two in an ongoing operation in the upper belt of the Brar-Aragam area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday, officials said.

The officials told that one more militant has been killed amid searches taking the toll to 02. “However, the identity of both the slain militants is yet to be ascertained, ” they said.

Earlier, the encounter broke out shortly after joint security forces, including the army’s 13 RR, CRPF, and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.

Earlier, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that Two recent infiltrated Pakistani terrorists of the LeT terror outfit who escaped from a recent anti-terrorist operation on 11/5/22 at Salinder forest area were tracked down. They have been trapped today at Brar Bandipora—(KNO)
