Srinagar, Nov 21: Awantipora police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two militant associates affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) in Tral and Pampore areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Awantipora Police arrested two militant associates of JeM from Tral and Pampore area who are involved in providing shelter, support, logistics as well as in transporting of arms, ammunition of the militants in Pampore and Tral area and passing sensitive information to the militants of JeM.
He identified the arrested associates as Bilal Ahmad Chopan of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh of Chatlam Pampore.
He further added that incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons.
Moreover, police said that a case under FIR number 96/2020 and 90/2020 stands registered in Police Station Tral and Police Station Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law
