BARAMULLA: Jammu and Kashmir Police Tuesday claimed to have arrested two extortionists for demanding money to get the person released from Public Safety Act (PSA).

The accused have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Wani of Sangri & Yasir Rashid Rather of Malpora.

Baramulla Police in a Tweet said, “Two extortionists namely Mudasir Ahmad Wani of Sangri & Yasir Rashid Rather of Malpora arrested by Baramulla Police for demanding money to get the person released from PSA; Case registered & investigation going on”.

Baramulla police is strictly committed to eradicating corruption of all sorts. People are once again requested not to fall prey to such seamsters.  If any person demands a bribe for any police-related matter, the general public can directly complain to SSP Baramulla Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS on his mobile number- 7051000999, Baramulla police said.
