Jammu: Adhering government order, the tricolor hoisted at the top of Sher – i – Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SIKIMS) building in Kashmir on Monday.
An official told The Dispatch, following the government’s order tricolor being hoisted at every government building across Jammu and Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention here that J&K administration led by Manoj Sinha had recently ordered hoisting of tricolour at the all government buildings and offices across Kashmir Valley.
The circular in this regard was issued by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole last week to almost all major government departments in the Valley.
“The Indian National Flag represents the hope and aspiration of the people of India. It is a symbol of our national pride. There is universal affection and respect for, and loyalty to the National Flag,” Pole writes in the order issued on March 25, 2021
“As such it is enjoined upon all Deputy Commissioners/ Head of the departments/ Directors of Kashmir division to ensure hoisting of National Flag on all government buildings/ offices on all days and occasions, ceremonial or otherwise with the dignity & honour of National Flag,” it adds.
Pertinently, Piyush Singla, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag on Saturday last issued a circular directing the district administration to hoist tricolour at all the government buildings within 15 days.
