Technology plays an important role in terms of country’s safety & overall human development: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today asserted that technology plays an important role in terms of the country’s safety and overall human development. He was addressing the event held at the Advanced Technology Defence Institute in Pune. He further said that Defence Institute of Advanced Technology should be recognised as an institute of national importance and expressed confidence that together we can realize the dream of PM to make Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

On his Pune visit Defence Minister will felicitate the Olympians from the Services at the Army Sports Institute (ASI), Pune. All the Armed Forces personnel, who represented India in the recently -concluded Tokyo Olympics, including Gold medalist Javelin Thrower Subedar Neeraj Chopra, are likely to be present on the occasion. Rajnath Singh will also interact with the budding sportsmen of ASI and troops during his visit.

He will visit the Headquarters of Southern Command. The Raksha Mantri will be accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff General MM Naravane and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command Lieutenant General JS Nain.
