JAMMU: A suspected movement of a drone has been reported from the Arnia area of the International Border after which the Border Security Force fired multiple rounds towards the object.

An official told that a humming sound of the suspected drone was heard early in the morning at about 04:10 AM by alert troops of BSF in the general area of Arnia. BSF troops fired towards the direction of the sound, BSF added.

If further said that the area has now been cordoned with the help of police and search is being conducted. Pertinent to mention here that a drone movement was also reported on February 24 in the area of Jammu along the International Border after which the Special Operation Group of Jammu police launched a Cordon and Search Operation and seized a consignment dropped by drone.

Several IEDs and three bottles of suspected semi-solid explosive and other warlike store were seized from this consignment—(KNO)
