Sumo driver arrested after ‘arms, ammunition was found’ in his vehicle

Srinagar, March 24: Police and army arrested a sumo driver after some arms and ammunition were allegedly recovered from the vehicle at Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Wednesday.

They said Army’s 19 RR and Special Operation Group Kokernag stopped a Tata Sumo (JK03B-9733) at Senzi Gadole in the area and “recovered arms and ammunition.” The driver of the vehicle, Waseem Ahmad son of Abdul Qudoos Muglo of Senzi Gadole has been arrested and said the vehicle seized. “Further details will follow,” an official told news agency
