Special squad conducts market checking in Mattan

Market checking was conducted at Mattan under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Mattan,Syed Fayaz along with officials of Municipal Committee and police station Mattan, today. Substandard materials, rotten fruits and vegetables were destroyed on spot and a fine of Rs 500 was realised from erring shopkeepers on spot.

Meanwhile Ex.officer Aishmuqam and Mattan Ab.Rashid vaid has instructed officials to conduct market checking frequently in this holy month for public benefit. He said already a meeting was chaired by Tehsildar Mattan, Ab.Rashid and discussions regarding market checkings were deliberated upon.

It is pertinent to mention here that CAPD outlets are not functioning properly in mattan area and people have appealed director food, DC Anantnag and Tehsildar Mattan to see avaliability of essential commodities in the area.They further added action against defaulter capd munshis, storekeepers must be initiated.
