Sopore College students protest against ‘Unfair’ evaluation by Kashmir University

Baramulla: Students of Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday held a protest against the Kashmir University (KU) authorities over what they called as “unfair” evaluation of examination papers.

The protesting students blocked road, thereby halting traffic movement, however, it was cleared after JK Police intervened.

The students of 6th semester alleged unfair evaluation of examination papers by Kashmir University authorities.

“Kashmir University is playing with our careers and it’s not for the first time that University has done this,” alleged one of the students.

She said how it is possible that their papers would be evaluated within 3 days and it seems they have just done the formality.

The protesting students appealed to the KU authorities to look into the matter and save their careers. (KNO)
