KULGAM: To take first hand appraisal of the situation arising due to Snowfall, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today toured various areas of the district including Nihama, Chawalgam and Mirhama.
During the tour, the DC inspected Snow-clearance operation and took first hand assessment of other arrangements put in place to deal with challenges arising from the prevailing weather condition in the district.
He also visited the Mechanical Engineering office at Chawalgam and Nihama where he was informed that Snow clearance operations have been launched across the district and men and machinery has been deployed for Snow Clearance from roads.
He instructed the officers to ensure Snow clearance of all roads so that people do not suffer at any cost.
The DC also listened to the delegations and assured of early redressal of their issues.
The DC was accompanied by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Muhammad Imran Khan and other officers.
