SMVDU Organizes a month-long Yoga Sessions under “Yoga Mahotsav”

JAMMU: Following the directives from the Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the National Service Scheme at SMVD University organized month-long yoga sessions under “Yoga Mahotsav” to commemorate the upcoming 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 21st June 2022. The NSS SMVDU is committed to inspiring a “Mass Movement for Health and Wellbeing” through Yoga. The NSS volunteers have been actively participating in these Yoga Sessions under the guidance of Yoga instructor Mr Gurmel.

The final-day yoga session was organized on the theme “Yoga with Nature” near Jhajjar Kotli river to connect participants to nature through Yoga. NSS volunteer Shubham coordinated this session under the guidance of Shri Gurmel Ji. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the NSS Programme Coordinator, congratulated the NSS volunteers for the successful organization of these sessions. The Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. Ravinder Kumar Sinha appreciated the efforts of team NSS in promoting Yoga.
