SMVDU organises Gender Sensitization session at Govt. High School Kakryal

JAMMU: NSS unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University organized a Gender Sensitization session at Govt. High School in village Kakryal. The awareness session was conducted with eighth to tenth class girls students of the school. It was an interactive session to make girls aware about good touch and bad touch. Students were also given an assignment to discuss the same. NSS volunteers Vaidyanti, Harshita and Leeza discussed different situations with the girls and how to behave in those situations. School Principal Mrs. Rachna appreciated the efforts of the girls volunteers of the NSS team and also suggested conducting a session on personal hygiene for students in future. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, NSS Programme Coordinator was also present during the event. Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.K. Sinha also appreciated the efforts of team NSS and suggested covering all nearby schools.
