JAMMU: Training and Placement Cell of the School of Civil Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University today organized a seminar for B. Tech students on the opportunities for placement and higher education in foreign countries.

Er Abhishek Tyagi, a cyber security expert working with Australian Retirement Trust, Queensland Govt. Super, Brisbane, delivered a special talk on the occasion.

The speaker emphasized ‘thinking out of the box’ approach, which the participants received well. The budding engineers interacted with the speaker and clarified their doubts. The expert motivated the students to enhance their skills for industrial acceptability. He also focussed on personality development, technical skills, and soft skills required to apply in foreign companies and higher education avenues.

The participants enthusiastically interacted with the speaker during the Q&A session. The talk was organised by Dr Bharat Bhushan Jindal, Ankur Tyagi and Dr Balbir Pandey, Faculty, School of Civil Engineering, SMVDU. Dr V K Dogra, Head of the School, thanked the speaker. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Srijan.
