Shopkeeper attacked with knife, looted in Budgam

BUDGAM: A shopkeeper at Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was on Wednesday evening attacked and decamped with a cash and a mobile phone by a local goon.

Sources told that a man identified as Abdul Gani Dar of Dawlatpora was at his grocery store when a local “goon” attacked him with a knife and ran away with cash and a mobile phone.

The residents of the area demanded strict action against the goon, who, according to them was earlier arrested in different cases. Locals said that the local “goon” has injured several persons in the past and is roaming freely in the area—(KNO)
