Srinagar: No fresh exchange of firing has been reported after a gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Sangran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on early morning of Monday.
Reports said that there was complete silence from the last 3 hours after some exchange of firing took place between militants and government forces early morning.
Official sources said that after initial brief exchange of firing between militants and government forces there was complete silence from both sides and it’s believed that militants might have escaped taking advantage of darkness.
As this report was filed reportedly government forces were leaving the encounter site.
