Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was Wednesday disallowed to march towards Shopian.
Reports said that all the roads leading to Geelani’s residence were sealed by government forces, while barricades were also erected outside his office.
“Geelani came out of his residence-cum-office at 12:15 noon, but the police and CRPF didn’t allow him to visit Shopian,” reports quoting spokesperson said.
JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for shutdown and ‘Shopian Chalo’ against shifting of political prisoners and killings in Shopian.
