Sheetal to oversee Covid containment work in Jammu, Shahid on medical leave

Orders for Ms Nanda’s assignment were issued by the General Administration Department on Tuesday, a week after Dr Choudhary went on medical leave. Chief Executive Officer of Mission Youth and Secretary to Government in department of Tribal Affairs, Dr Shahid Choudhary is expected to join his duties next Monday.

Jammu: Senior IAS officer Sheetal Nanda has been appointed as officer in-charge of Covid containment related work in the Jammu division.

She will oversee all Covid containment related work in Jammu under the overall supervision and guidance of the Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education.

Ms Nanda is currently Secretary to the Jammu and Kashmir Government in Department of Social Welfare.

The Government had earlier appointed senior IAS officer Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary as in-charge of Covid related work in Jammu.  Dr Choudhary is currently on two-week leave following a medical condition.
