Seven states account for 85.51% of new Covid-19 cases

After 17,407 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in India in a day, the number of infected in the country increased to 1,11,56,923. At the same time, after the death of 89 more patients, the death toll increased to 1,57,435. There are 1,73,413 people undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection in the country right now and 1,08,26,075 people have become infection free.

Delhi recorded 261 new Covid-19 cases—a slight increase from Wednesday’s caseload of 240—in the last 24 hours, the state government’s health department said on Thursday evening. With this, the total tally in Delhi reached 6,40,182.

According to the Union Health Ministry, cases of Covid-19 are increasing in Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka. These states account for 85.51% of the new cases of infection. In the last 24 hours, 17,404 new cases of Covid-19 infection were reported.

9,855 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Maharashtra on the previous day, after which the total cases increased to 21,79,185. An official of the Health Department gave this information. He said that 42 more patients died due to the epidemic. With this, the number of dead in the state reached 52,280.So far, 20,43,349 patients of Covid-19 have been cured in Maharashtra. The official said that 82,343 patients are under treatment in the state at present.

475 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Gujarat, increasing the number of infected people to 2,71,245 in the state. The health department gave this information. The department said that with the death of one patient, the number of people who have died so far in the state has increased to 4,412. Today, 358 patients are cured and so far, 2,64,195 people have become infection free. The state’s health rate is 97.40 percent.

At least 417 new cases of corona infection were reported in Madhya Pradesh and with this, the total number of people found so far infected with this virus in the state reached 2,62,850. No one died of the disease in the state in the last 24 hours. So far, the number of people who died of this disease in the state is 3,865.
