JAMMU: Pardeep Mittal AAP Co-incharge Elections and senior AAP leader T S Tony on Tuesday asserted that the ouster of Punjab Cabinet Minister Vijay Singla is proof of party’s resolve to fight corruption.
The AAP leaders were addressing a gathering during a programme in which Ravinder Singh Mantoo senior vice president Congress joined AAP along with scores of his supporters making it clear that the party is all set to become a force to reckon with in J&K. Senior AAP leader Manish Sinha and Mandeep Choudhary besides other leaders of the party were also present.
Welcoming R S Mantoo in party fold, the AAP leaders Pardeep Mittal and Manish Sinha asserted that joining of Mantoo is a big jolt for the Congress party. They said that the trend which is in vogue clearly shows that people are getting influenced by the policies and programmes of AAP which is known for zero tolerance against corruption and the most glaring example of that is termination of Cabinet Minister Vijay Singla by CM Bhagwant Mann and also starting legal proceedings against the tainted minister.
While welcoming RS Mantoo, Tony said joining of such a senior leader in AAP will get boost at the grass roots level because he is a very honest and dedicated person and his commitment towards poor and downtrodden is known to one and all in J&K. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the hollow policies of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Govt at the Centre as it along with the Union Territory administration has miserably failed to provide basic amenities to the people of trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir.
Tony asserted that people of Jammu and Kashmir want Kejriwal type Delhi Govt in this Union Territory so that they get relieved of the miseries thrust upon them during the BJP’s proxy rule in absence of a representative government. He asked people of Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the hands of Arvind Kejriwal for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. While embracing the AAP, Mantoo said that soon he will be organizing a big public meeting at JMC Ward No. 73.
Jagdeep Choudhary, Spokesperson APP J&K, Joginder Singh Retd DySP and senior APP leader Incharge Suchetgarh Consituency, Raj Kumar Nischal, Om Parkash Khajuria and Satish Sharma, former Commissioner Income Tax, President Sharnarthi Action Committee AAP were also present.
