Security forces recover damaged AK rifle, ammunition in Kupwara

KUPWARA: Security forces on Wednesday recovered a “damaged” Ak-47 rifle, ammunition besides three wireless sets from a forest area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Wednesday.

They said based on specific information, police, Army’s 162 TA and BSF launched a joint operation in the forest area of Reshigund Check in Kralpora. During searches, a police official told that an AK-47 Rifle (Damaged)
Four Magazines, 720 rounds, three wireless set, five wireless set antennas, eight detonators besides three Chines grenades and a compass.

The official said a case has been registered and further investigations were taken up. (GNS)
