BANDIPORA: The Assam Rifles on Tuesday busted a hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the Nagmarg forest in North Kashmir’s Bandipora.

Acting on a specific tip-off about the presence of a militant hideout an operation was launched by Army’s 26 Assam Rifles in the forests of Nagmarg Bandipora.

During the search operation, a large quantum of arms and ammunition were recovered from the hideout, which includes 10 UBGL rounds and 02 Chinese grenades and other incriminating material.

The search operation yielded the recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including grenades and UBGL rounds, which has averted a major tragedy and recovery will be beneficial in ensuring and maintaining peace in the area told an official.
