Search operation resumes at Baramulla encounter site

BARAMULLA: Search operation resumed in Sultanpora forests in the Sheeri Chandoosa area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on thrusday.

Sources told that search operation has resumed at the encounter site after there was an exchange of fire between militants and security forces on Wednesday. The operation was halted due to darkness and resumed this morning with the first light. Since it’s a dense forest, an operation may prolong.

Yesterday an army soldier was injured in the intial exchange of fire between militants and security forces. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable.
