Schools in Central, northern districts reopen after winter vacation

After three month long winter vacation, the Schools in central and northern district reopen today while the educational institutes in Southern districts continued to remain closed.

Officials said that the schools in Southern districts will reopen from Monday.
The schools up to Higher Secondary Schools level resumed their class work with students thronging back to schools.

At most of the places across Kashmir, children were seen dressed in their school uniforms waiting for their school buses at bus stops.

From certain places especially summer capital Srinagar, there were reports of traffic jams with added rush of school buses on the roads.

Pertinently, the schools were scheduled to reopen on Monday this week but the authorities suspended the class work till Friday in view of the civilian killings in Pahnoo area of Shopian.
