Samreen Khan slams project executing agencies for miserable condition of Rajouri-Thanamandi road

Kotranka: District secretary BJP Rajouri Samreen Khan expressed dismay over the negligible approach of the concerned authorities with regards to maintain and black top of road from Thanamandi to Rajouri.

Samreen said digging of the road was done here but now it seems the concerned executing agencies have forgotten to complete the work and have left  in pathetic conditions which have caused apprehensions of serious accidents mainly to school going children and elderly people.

Khan describe in words that what sort of complexity people of Thanamandi are facing problems due to the negligible approach of the concerned agencies that despite repeated reminders did not pay any attention towards the difficulty faced by the people.

“Many accidents have taken place due to the pathetic condition of the road,” said Samreen Khan

It is a mess during the morning hours as people are in a hurry to reach their destinations the road has now become accident prone and it is very difficult to drive a two wheeler here due to the bad condition of road Samreen Khan said that District administration is sleeping over this issue Khan requested Dm Rajouri Mohd Nazir Sheikh for asking BRO for the black toping of road and other maintenance work. Samreen Khan said that road connectivity is backbone of any area and good road network always open horizons of development.

Completion of ongoing road projects should be a focus.

Government should ensure that road worked are expedited and get completed within shortest possible time,  Khan said that Jammu and Kashmir should focus on improving condition of all existing roads, especially in hilly area of district Rajouri.

Road accidents are cause of concern in these areas and Government should improve the road conditions to avert the accidents.

Rajouri- Thanamandi road, being executed and maintained by the border Road organisation (BRO), is in extremely miserable condition.

Samreen Khan said that being the shortest route to Kashmir valley, this road meets the historical Mughal road at Bafliaz in Poonch district.

Hundreds of private, tourist and passenger vehicles and trucks take this road to enter Kashmir valley from Jammu and other part of the country and vice versa.

Khan said that the entire stretch of the road, from Rajouri to Thanamandi town (Tehsil headquarters) is filled with huge pits and potholes, causing enormous problem to the commuters, Samreen Khan alleged that the road had not been upgraded for the past many years.
