Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has appealed to the students, parents and teachers to come forward with the unique and creative ideas to make Toycathon-2021 a grand success.
In a video message today, the Minister said, India’s toy industry is worth 10 thousand 500 crore rupees and the country imports 80 per cent of toys from outside. He said, this Toycathon will provide a unique platform to conceptualize innovative toys based on the Indian value system which will inculcate the positive behaviour and good value among the children. He said, India can be a biggest manufacturing hub for toys.
The Toycathon will majorly focus on conceptualizing new and innovative toys using local material which are economical, affordable, safe and environment friendly. The proposals can be submitted by the 20th January of this month.
