Members in the Rajya Sabha today expressed concern over the mob- lynching cases in the country and called for discussion in the House. Raising the issue during zero hour, they alleged that social media is being misused for this purpose.
Responding to this, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said that he can direct the government to hold discussion with all stakeholders in this regard. Sukhendu Sekhar Ray of Trinamool Congress referred to the recent observation by Supreme Court in this regard. D. Raja of the CPI alleged that Muslims and Dalits are being targeted. T K Rangarajan of the CPIM expressed concern over the attack recently on Swami Agnivesh in Jharkhand.
