Rains lash Kashmir valley

The Kashmir Valley today received heavy rainfall after a week of hot weather. The heavy rainfall started on Monday Midnight and is continuing till this report was filed. The rain has brought relief to people after facing a week of hot weather. However roads and lanes in the Srinagar city are inundated with rain water which has led to water logging, traffic James and giving tough time to pedestrians.

Director Meteorological department Sonam Lotus told  that the rainfall was expected in the valley. He said that the moderate rainfall will continue till afternoon after which the weather will improve.

Lotus said that the light intermittent rainfall is expected for next few days.
