Rainfall across plain, snow in higher reaches on Saturday in J&K: MeT

SRINAGAR: The weatherman here has predicted light rainfall across plains and snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (October 23).

Deputy Director Meteorological department (MeT), Mukhtar Ahmad said that there is no forecast of any major snowfall in plains as of now. However, he said that there is a possibility of light rainfall in plains and snowfall in higher reaches of the Union Territory on Saturday.

Ahmad also said that the forecast for rains is from Friday evening, but the main activity will be on Saturday. Pertinently, the two-day wet spell witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir from Sunday brought the mercury down in the Valley—(KNO)
