LEH: Congress leader and Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi arrived in Leh on a two -day-long visit to the union territory, on Thursday.
Gandhi arrived at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport here at 1 pm, to resounding welcome by the congress leaders and workers of the Ladakh Territorial Congress Committee and Youth Pradesh Youth Congress.
Gandhi was escorted to Grand Dragon Hotel, where he is scheduled to acclimatise for the rest of the day, before beginning with his rounds of meetings tomorrow, Tsering Namgyal, Leader of Opposition in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh told Indus Dispatch.
“Rahul Gandhi will meet senior Congress leaders during his two-day visit to Ladakh, which will be limited to Leh district,” Namgyal added.
