Qualified aspirants protest in Srinagar, demand authorities to declare final selection list

SRINAGAR: Scores of aspirants, who qualified for the exams for the posts in the Health and Medical Education department, Friday staged a protest here, demanding the authorities to declare the final selection list.

According to the protesters, the advertisement notification for the posts was declared in March 2021 and subsequently, the exams were held in August last year.

An aspirant said, “Many of the aspirants who qualified for the examination left the private and contractual jobs. However, some miscreants, for their vested interests are trying to delay the declaration of the final selection list in order to ensure the illegal extension of the contractual employees.”

“We appeal Lieutenant Governor led administration and Health and Medical Education department to look into the matter so that the aspirants could heave a sigh of relief,” the protesters said—(KNO)
