Pushkar Singh Dhami elected new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand

BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat expressed confidence that the saffron party will win in the 2022 assembly elections. He gave this statement ahead of the legislature party meeting, which is scheduled to be held at 3 pm today to elect a new CM.

Meanwhile, Trivendra Singh Rawat, when asked about his candidature for the CM post, rejected the reports saying he was not part of the race earlier or today.

He further clarified that the new legislative party leader would be elected at the 3 pm meeting today.

Speaking on Tirath Singh Rawat’s resignation, he said that it would have led to a Constitutional crisis had he not resigned.
