JAMMU: Purnima Sharma, Spokesperson BJP J&K and former Deputy Mayor Jammu on Tuesday exhorted the trader fraternity and womenfolk to join in large numbers the Maha Rally of Home Minister Amit Shah at Bhagwati Nagar on June 23 in connection with Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan.
The BJP Spokesperson earlier met traders of WareHouse and other market associations and exhorted them to become a part of Maha Rally of HM Shah. She said that the Modi Government has accomplished herculean task in bringing back J&K on track and this is the time to express gratitude to the leadership of BJP for the good work done for the people of the region.
Later, she addressed the meeting of Mahila Mandli and women folk, and asked them to ensure maximum participation in the aforesaid rally. She said that people of J&K should make the rally of Home Minister a great success as this government unlike the successive ones has accomplished herculean task in bailing out the people from the decades long morass and steered them towards a new era of peace and progress. She said that such occasions are the opportunities to thank the leadership for doing so much for the people.
The former Deputy Mayor also highlighted various schemes crafted by the Modi government exclusively for women to empower them literally and allow them to play a pivotal role in the society. The women oriented schemes which the BJP Spokesperson highlighted on the occasion include Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, UJJAWALA Scheme, SWADHAR Greh Scheme, Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme, Women Helpline Scheme and many more.
She said that it is for the first time in the history of the country that so many women oriented schemes have been launched by a government in its two terms as earlier the dispensations preferred to give lip service only. She asked women folk to come forward and strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by participating in the upcoming rally of the Union Home Minister in Jammu.
Purnima said that success of this rally by HM Shah will also give a message to the anti-nationals that their time is over as all the nationalists are on same pedestal and shall not allow anybody to indulge in subversive activities as from top level of government to common masses, are all united to fight the scourge of terrorism in J&K.
